At the Beach

The cookies were baked, sewing projects packed, and the Sometimes We Do Quilt Bee was off to the beach for our quilting retreat.
We actually did take a break from sewing to walk on the beach.
I have a T shirt quilt to longarm at home. Wouldn't this make an interesting pattern for a quilt that's all about sailing regattas and races!
Did I mention that we eat really well? These amazing breakfast “muffins” were like mini quiches, with eggs, bacon, cheese and spinach, made by Andra.
I was having so much fun and enjoying my friends, that I didn't take enough photos. As we finish a project, we throw the quilt over the banister for all to see. Susie actually “banistered” four quilts but she had them packed up before I got a chance to get a picture! There were many quilt tops made and many glasses of wine drunk, and I just don't want to even mention the M&M's…
Thank you, Peggy, for hosting our get-a-way. I am so grateful to be included in this circle of generous, funny, creative, ever-inspiring friends.
