Whew! I got my gift done in time for our Christmas lunch. I didn't get really creative this year, thinking a table runner is always useful.
Peggy brought this hat for me to wear. I have a bit of a grinch attitude when it comes to Christmas so this hat magically filled me with Christmas spirit.
Andra is the hostess this year and has set a beautiful table for our lunch.
Actually, her entire house is decorated for Christmas, even the bedrooms! When we arrived, we had to guess the theme of each room, based on a Christmas carol or poem. One room was filled with angels for “Hark the Harold Angels Sing.”
Fortified with Karen's home-made egg nog, we opened gifts. This year the exchange was quite civil. Usually we “steal” coveted gifts according to an ordered system of selection but all in a good natured game that makes it more fun.
I started out with the Ott Light from Donna but ended up with the great “Chubby Charmer” bag made by Ginger, which I put to good use.
It's so nice to enjoy good food, great friends and favorite traditions. Merry Christmas to all!
